Prints that put earth in the spotlight, and remind of the primal force of mother earth.
This print is based on an aerial picture I made with my drone in the desert of Parque Natural de Corralejo in Fuerteventura. The soft forms and colours of the sanddunes, I loved it there!
The symmetry I carefully constructed in Photoshop. I always thought symmetrical landscapes and patterns to be suiting for the eyes. It's calming, just like nature itself.

I’m Kirsten Oppeneer, and I started Into Gaia when the Corona crisis put my teaching job at the artcenter on a hold. I missed the people, I missed being creative.
So I went through my drone footage and started thinking about ways I could make this into something I would love, and others would want. I hoarded (yes, I’m a hoarder) tons of footage, from beautiful destinations around the world.
If you are flying above the jungle, or the ocean you get a sense of freedom. There’s nothing quite like it: Deciding to go see the world in another perspective. You suddenly see patterns and colors you cannot see from the ground.
Being surrounded by nature is something precious. Past years my soul needed healing and rest. My dad was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, and our family went through a really rough patch. A time with lots of hospital and stress. He passed away in 2019, which still feels like yesterday. He is on our minds every day.
This was the time I rediscovered my love for nature. The suiting sounds, the recurring patterns, the colors of hope, the cycle of life.
With Into Gaia prints everyone can be surrounded by a little patch of nature in their homes.
